A lot of work goes into having a natural look. My goal is to look naturally polished at all times. I don't always accomplish this goal... but I try;) I already shared with you the brand of face wash I use... so I thought I would share a few other products that I use a lot as a mom.1. bareMinerals ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation
2. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
4. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer - Peony
5. e.l.f. Studio Blush Tickled Pink
Most of these I pick up at Target or CVS. 1) I usually order my mineral foundation powder on Amazon or pick it up at Ulta. I *LOVE* that stuff!! It has amazing coverage without looking cakey or streaky like liquid foundation. It also takes about 20 seconds to apply in the morning... which is usually about all I have time for. It also doesn't feel like I have on any make-up. 2) I've been using great lash mascara since I was a teenager after I read in Seventeen magazine how that's the mascara that professional make-up artists use the most. BTW, I have no idea if that's true, but do like the mascara. 3) I picked up this eye shadow stick a few months ago at CVS and I love it. It takes me no time at all to smear it on and rub it in with my finger. Amazing and I love the way it accentuates my eye color. 4) My lips are ALWAYS dry, which is why I use what is basically a tinted chap stick. It also doesn't show up too much when I give Ava lots of kisses... 5) I'm not as overly opinionated about my blush as I am about the rest of my make-up. I buy this because it's consistently inexpensive and it's a nice color on me.
I wash and condition my hair with Herbal Essence Color me Happy (I'm a blond-a-holic...). For styling I use a little Aveda Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener
in my hair before I blow dry it straight with a round brush. I have a Conair Infinity Ceramic Hair Dryer
, which is not my dream dryer
.. but it works better than most. I use a little Aveda control paste
to finish it off.
On my fingers and toes I use a Seacret Nail Care Kit
. I picked this up from a kiosk in the mall one day when I was feeling particularly 'mom'ish. Turns out you can get it for 1/2 the price on Amazon... but I'm happy I discovered it because it really works well.
It makes my nails shiny, my cuticles soft and gives my hands a natural look without any polish.
