Portion Control for Healthy Living {OXO Giveaway}

Do you know what "one serving" looks like?  I didn't until I started to weigh my food with my new OXO food scale.  Apparently eating too much healthy food can be a bad thing, even if it's tofu!  When it comes to feeding Ava I'm a little OCD about her portions.  I often check these age-by-age feeding guides on baby center.  When it comes to feeding myself... in the past I usually just ate until I felt full (or until the food from Ava's "no no" bowl was empty).  Yes, we have a "no no" bowl.... it helps keep the floor clean.... sometimes.... ;)
This food scale from OXO has a nice pull out screen to prevent shadowing from large plates and bowls.  Once you put a plate or bowl on top, you can reset the weight to zero.  You can also reset the weight to zero after adding each ingredient, which has been really nice when I'm baking.  It has been so helpful to measure the fruit and veggies I'm feeding Ava and to see what a single serving actually looks like.  I think I could tell you exactly how many peas are in a single serving of veggies now... ;)
The Giveaway:

For a chance to win an OXO food scale, just follow the instructions below.  Sorry, USA residents only. **You don't need to do all of the items... you just get extra points if you do more than one...**

5 Pound Food Scale with Pull-Out Display - OXO’s Food Scale is perfect for weighing all ingredients. Weigh items directly on the platform, on a plate or in a bowl, and pull the display away from the base to prevent shadowing from large plates and bowls. Accurately measure ingredients when cooking and baking or stick to a diet by weighing portions. A weight indicator shows the capacity left on the Scale before maximum capacity is reached. Press the zero button to offset the weight of a container or to set the weight back to zero so you can add additional ingredients. The display features large, easy-to-read numbers which measure in 1/8-ounce (US) and 1-gram (metric) increments. The plastic platform can be removed for cleaning. The Scale has a 5-pound capacity and two AAA batteries are included.

Disclaimer:  This post is sponsored by OXO and they supplied me with some OXO products for my personal use and the giveaway.  As usual, all opinions are my own.
